"Not quite like Kurt," Wanda nodded slightly, looking around her. Eyes landing on her open bag by where the boys had been playing earlier, she wiggled her fingers like she was beckoning it. "I can do this, though," the bag moved across the grass, enveloped in fizzling hexes. It stopped in front of the girl and a couple of the twins' toys jumped out, doing an impromtu dance. It was only the safer side of her powers, the side she used to keep the boys entertained; the darker side wasn't something she was much interested in showing a young child.

Kurt grinned as he wastched the toys dance towards them. Well, he never thought he'd see the day Wanda would ever use her powers in such a way. The Lizzy brought her head from Kurt's shoulder and started to clap with a large grin.
"Oooo pretty," she said with a large grin. "Why don't you live wif us at the Instute
"Lizzy, that is not polite. Not all mutants live vith us. They can live other places," Kurt corrected softly.

Wanda nodded slightly, tucking hair behind her ear. "Xavier's too busy to recruit everybody that pops up," she said. "I must have just gotten overlooked." That was a boldfaced lie, but the little girl didn't need to know how much Xavier had hurt Wanda by leaving her in the aslyum without a cause.
Smiling softly, she continued to make the toys dance. After all, it seemed to be entertaining the girl and maybe it would take her mind off the subject at hand.

"Oh... well... maybe if we take you to the Pwofessor he can let you stay wif us," Lizzy suggested boldly, unaware that Wanda probably had no intention of such an offer.
Kurt almost wanted to wince at Wanda's explanation. He couldn't help but feel a bit bad about it. He didn't know the whole story about Wanda before the Brotherhood, but she figured there was some other reason for not joinning the X-men aside from her father's morals.

"Maybe," Wanda smiled softly, patting the girl's arm. Lizzy was just too young to have Wanda shatter all her beliefs about Xavier and the X-Men and the dream. And Wanda didn't want to, anyway.
She looked over at the swings, just in time to be tackled by the twins. Laughing a little, she wrapped her arms around them and tried to loosen their grip from her neck enough that she could breath. "What's gotten into you two?" she demanded once she could breath again.
"Is it time for lunch, yet?" Thomas asked.
"I'm hungry," Michael nodded.

Lizzy grinned as he finally released Kurt from her hold on his neck and ran back to the swings. The older mutant smiled, thankful that Wanda had the decency not to say anything ill Xavier. Kurt probably could easily. Some things the man did made little sense to him. But he stayed quiet about it.
"So much for them not reaching that phase," he teased with a large grin.

"Lucky me," Wanda shook her head, rubbing her neck slightly and holding both twins with one arm. Glad that she'd remembered to actually grab lunch for the twins before she'd bolted from the Brotherhood house that morning, she searched the bag with a hex and pulled out two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and a couple of juice boxes. "Here you go," she carefully unwrapped the sandwhiches and handed them over.
"Thank you," both boys grinned up at her before trying to stuff the sandwiches in their mouths all at once.

Wanda laughed slightly, carefully wipping the boys' faces before sending them off to play. "Two kids is about the Brotherhood's limit," she answered, leaning back on her good elbow. "It's not a very good place to raise kids, and the majority of them hate kids anyway."

Kurt nodded. "Eh, the Insitute isn't vhat I vould really picture sending my child to at such a young age. Vhen they're at the age of my group, it seems like it's more for the parents," he said quietly with a shrug. "We haf too many things that children just shouldn't see. As much as I like it there... I think growing up there vould haf made me see things differently," he said honestly. He hadn't shared that view with many at the Institute considering some of them thought it to be a great place to raise children. "They just come out jaded. We prepare them for a vorld that vill hate them... that's a horrible viewpoint to give a child."

Wanda shrugged slightly. "Most parents don't know how to deal with mutant children, though. Between the Institute or Magneto, I think the Institute would have a better chance of turning out children who can at leat look at humans somewhat impartially. With Magneto, all you hear is that humans are evil and we have to exterminate them before they exterminate us," she shrugged a little. The only time she hadn't heard Magneto spewing all that was when he was around the boys, which had honestly lead her to believe he was compensating with his grandchildren all the times he screwed up with his own children. "Those children know that they are protected and that they're safe from all the people that hate them as long as they stay with you. They'll be jaded one day, but then, name one mutant who hasn't turned out jaded in some way or another."

Kurt shrugged. "I don't know. I just think that children should not be exposed to either side at such a young age," he said honestly. "Both sides are morbid, the only reason Xavier's dream sounds so good is because he doesn't share the fact that we may not see it in our lifetime. Most vant instant results we cannot produce."

"If given the choice, I'd much rather have my children exposed to the X-Men over Magneto," Wanda was very aware that she avoided saying Xavier. Because, honestly, after everything Xaiver had put her through, she didn't want him anywhere near any child, much less hers. "At least the children there have some sort of innocence. I'm going to go home and, somehow, the Brotherhood is going to find out who I spent my day with... and you'll become my new sex buddy. Because they all think I can't have a conversation with the opposite sex without screwing them. And they'll say it all within earshot of my children and I will have to spend all night explaining what that means. It tends to kill innocence."

"I can understand that," he said with a nod before giving a devious grin. "Vhat? It vould be bad if I vere to become your new partner? That somevhat stings," he teased as he ran a harnd briefly through his hair. "At least you von't haf to give a birds and the bees speach later on. Try teaching a class about that and then hafing to eat dinner vith them later."

She laughed softly, flipping her hair over her shoulder and looking at him. "I don't think I could stand the teasing of sleeping with an X-Man," she teased. "Besides, I have a very bad track record with relationships, you wouldn't enjoy it at all." Grinning slightly, she looked over at the kids. "Yes, at least I have totally avoided any and all sex talks. Except for maybe the one where I explain that sleeping around is bad."

"You think that's bad? People actually get in trouble for it now back at the Mansion. It's quite rediculous. Or at least it seems like we get in trouble considering the lectures we get," he said with a laugh. "Vell... unfortunately then Miss Wanda, we can never be... I haf that nasty habit of vanting to enjoy my relationships. He looked back at the swingset briefly. "I think all you vould haf to do to explain that is pull out the medical documents that list all of the VDs that a certain speedster in your house may have," he said jokingly.

She laughed softly. "That could take days to get through... I mean, going through every VD tends to get tiring. Maybe I'll just explain what it's like to be twenty-two, working in a rundown diner, with two kids. If I can figure out how to do that without making them feel like they were mistakes."
The twins were starting to wind down, they're movements becoming less wild and a little more sluggish. Wanda checked her watch and frowned. They were usually taking a nap about that time, which she hadn't enforced that day because she didn't want to deal with going back to the Brotherhood.

"Vell...maybe not every VD then... just maybe like the first twelve," he said with a chuckle. "Hrmmm... that vould be a hard one to do... but I think vhen they get older they'll be able to see that vithout thinking that of themselves."
Kurt looked back over at the children and smiled. "Nap time?"

Wanda nodded, standing. "I think it might be," she murmured, motioning for the twins to come over. The boys toddled towards her, tiredly wrapping themselves around her legs.
"Are we going home?" Thomas asked sadly, looking up at her. Michael looked up as well, thumb in mouth.
Wanda frowned, carefully picking up her children and resting one on each hip. "For a little while at least. You don't want to sleep in the park, do you?" She really didn't want to take them back to the boarding house, but she really didn't have a choice.

Kurt grinned as he watched Wanda interact with her children. He honestly had never pinned the Scarlet Witch to be anything along the lines of a good mother. Then, again, he was probably in no place to pin anyone as anything considering who he was. He looked back over at the swingset, noticing Mason had started to set his swing on fire. "Ach! Mason, get off the swing," he called as he ran over.

Wanda grinned slightly, carefully shifting the twins so she could wiggle her fingers enough to create a hex. The fire went out as the hex touched it. She was used to putting fires out, it was an all too common occurence at the Brotherhood house... and surprisingly it wasn't usually Pyro's fault.
"Is he okay?" she asked Kurt softly, stepping up to where the fire had been.

Kurt gave a thankful nod to Wanda as he made sure Mason hadn't burnt anything else. "He's fine... it just happens every once in a vhile..." he dusted off the boy as the seven year old with a face half made up of a dark purple, fire-like substance. He looked over at the swing. No real damage done.

Wanda nodded slightly, shifting the twins again and wincing a little as she moved her sore arm. The twins were already half asleep, clutching tightly to the collar of her jacket. "Well, as long as he's fine, then it's okay?" she looked between the boy and the slightly burnt, plastic swing. If all else failed, she could give the park some money to the park to replace it, she could take it from Magneto's account easily.

"Vell, considering he's burnt down an orphanage... I'd say that this is actually very good compaired to normal," he grimaced as he looked at the swing. He left Mason's side briefly in order to climbe to the top of the swingset. Hanging upsidedown, he unhooked it and hopped down. "I'll go purchase a new one once I get them all home," he said quietly as he inspected the other swings to make sure they hadn't caught fire or were burnt as well.

"If you want, I can pay for it," she murmured softly. "Magneto has this account set up for the boys... and there's more money in it then I could ever hope to spend. He'll never notice." She shifted the twins again. "You could consider it a donation or something, if you want."
