"But growing up a freak isn't all that fun either," Kurt pointed out with a shrug. "I don't know... I don't think I know enough to make that kind of decision. Not like I vill be hafing children soon either to make that decision. I don't know... I like the idea of children staying innocent as long as they can. Why complicate things for them vhen they are just getting their first look at the vorld?"

Wanda nodded slightly. Mine aren't all that innocent, anyway, she thought bitterly. "I'm more worried about giving them a power they can't handle. Some mutants start out pretty powerful, young or not." She had, after all, started with the destruction of the majorty of the second floor of their house at the time. "It's just... if they don't have a physical mutation when they're born, it seems to be secondary and to hit later on in life. I guess, I'm not too worried about them being labeled freaks if they can fit in."

"That is another concern. Power is something I don't think a child should haf at such a young age. They might not be able to handle it... or the kids might not be able to," Kurt agreed. "That vas how it vorked vith me. I haf a physical mutation and then later on I developed a secondary one. They vill alvays find some vay to fit in, but then if they haf to go in another group or setting, they'd haf to do it all over again."

Wanda was saved from answering as one of her children ran over, attaching himself to her neck and plopping down in her lap. Tears stained the shoulder of her jacket as the boy cried quietly.
"What's wrong?" she asked softly, wrapping her arms around him and rubbing his back lightly. She couldn't even tell which twin had attached himself to her, he was buried so deep in her arms. For a moment, she just stared down at the brown hair and cursed identical twins.
"Thomas won't let me swing," Michael sniffled and looked up at her. "And I told him you said he had to and he said I was a liar."
"Shh..." Wanda fumbled to wipe the tears away, careful not to let the cast scratch him. "Just calm down a little and then we'll go over and sort out this mess." She rocked the boy slightly, casting an apologetic smile to Kurt over the top of Michael's head.

Kurt smiled as he watched Wanda comfort Michael. He offered a kind grin as he saw the interaction. He looked back over at the swingset to see that his group was still playing nicely. Which was good. The last time there had been a fight between the children, an entire exhibit to the art museum had been practically destroyed. He pulled some tissues out of another pocket in his pants and offered them to Wanda.

Wanda smiled gratefully and took the tissues, carefully wipping Michael's face off. "Come on," she sat him on his feet and stood. Grabbing her child's hand, she started walking over to the swingset, little boy in tow. After a minute of thinking through all the ways she could approach the situtation, she scooped Thomas off the swing and sat Michael down, ignoring the twinge of pain in her arm. She then promised to buy them ice cream if they shared the swing.
She walked back to Kurt and lay down in the grass, covering her face with one good hand. "I just had to have twins, didn't I?" she sighed exasperated.

Kurt laughed as he looked over at Wanda. "Apparently. Just hink... it could be triplets. That vould be fun... sort of." He stretched out a bit and yawned. He looked at her hand. "Prolly vould be easier if you hadn't hurt one of your hands I bet too."

"Oh, god," Wanda made a face when Kurt mentioned triplets, propping herself on the elbow of her good arm. She laughed slightly and looked at him. "Everyone keeps saying that. Like it'd ever be easy with two-year-old, identical twins. Not that I'd give them up for the world. It just always promised to be hard."

"Alright, not so much easier... just a bit more... vhat's the vord... a bit more convienient? I don't know... possibly making it a tad easier to multitask? As kinder do tend to require," he said with a small laugh as he looked over at her.

She laughed slightly. "I dunno... my powers make things pretty convienient. Of course, I don't like using my powers on my children, so there you go." Shrugging slightly, she pushed hair out of her face with her sore hand. "They're just harder to hold... and they're at an age where they don't want to be constantly held anymore, anyway."

"That's one thing I find convienient about my powers... I can keep up vith them," he said with a laugh. "Are they at the age vhere they tackle older males yet? A good number of the youth group is at that - OOF!"
Just as he was finishing his sentence, two boys, the one with green scales on his cheeks from earlier and another boy with four eyes pounced on him. The four-eyed child accidently switched off his image inducer, revealing the real Kurt for a moment before Kurt flipped the switch back on the watch.

Wanda said nothing about what she'd seen, knowing that brining up the fact that Kurt was an X-Man would not be good. At least not in front of children. Laughing softly, she carefully helped Kurt disentangle himself from the two little boys. After all, she had promised to help... and she didn't break her promises. Even to X-Men.
"No, not yet," she answered his question, silently trying to calm the two boys. "Of course, they're not around very many people besides me, so they might just skip over that phase." Which she prayed for, because they had latched onto to Mortimer pretty fast and she didn't want to have to deal with something like that everytime she had a fight with a Brotherhood member.

"Danke," he said quietly as he unwrinkled his clothes and dusted off some of the dirt. At least she hadn't brought anything up about him being on "the other team". One of the boys seemingly had hold of his tail and held it up out of the holographic image. Kurt laughed and gently took the tail from his grasp and let the appendage wrap around his waist under his clothes.
Kurt laughed heartily. "Vell here's to hoping," he said with a large grin as he made sure his hologram was still fully functional.

Wanda laughed as she grabbed the boy who had been tugging on Kurt's tail, just holding him in place enough to keep him from doing it again but not enough to scare him. After all, she was still strange to the kids.
"So far, they're happy if I give them attention," she answered. "I hope it stays that way, because otherwise I might be put in awkward situtations I really don't want to deal with."

He shrugged as he ran a hand through his hair. "Vell hopefully you haf somevone around to help you vith the awkvard situations."

Wanda shrugged slightly, nudging the boy she held on to back towards the swings. "On the list of things they could resent me for, single parenting is rather low. And my relationships tend to last a day or two before I can't stand it anymore. So there goes any hope of having anyone to help me through it. Not that I care much, I'd gladly scarfice my diginity to make them happy..."

Wanda nodded slightly. "Thanks," she smiled softly and pulled one knee up to her chest, looking back over at the kids. There was a moment of hesistation in which she bit her lip and chewed over how to word the next question. "Are all these kids at the Institue?" she asked. Honestly, she had no idea about Xavier's acceptence policies, only that she hadn't qualified before she went insane at the aslyum.

Kurt smiled and nodded. "Since most of the first group of students are older and kind of becomming mentor-staff-ish, we've started accepting at a younger age," he asnwered with a slight grin. "My group specifically is more geared for children born vith physical mutations, I haf the program running through the church and Xavier."

"Ah," Wanda nodded slightly and ran a hand through her hair. "How old are they, then? I mean, if I'm going to help out, I should probably know these things." She laughed slightly and wrapped her arms around the one knee pulled up to her chest. It had just dawned on her that she'd offered to help out with a bunch of kids she didn't even know the names of.

"They're between the ages of 3 and seven," Kurt answered with a smile. "Let's see.... Danny," he pointed to the boy with scales, "is about five. Donna," he pointed to a girl with with large bat-like ears and a membrane between her arms, "is about five as vell. Mason is seven," he pointed to a boy with rust colored hair with about half of his face being made of a purple and black smoke with one eye glowing green. "Gladys is seven," he pointed to a girl with stone plates going up her arms. "Drew is six," he pointed to the child with four eyes. He then pointed to a girl with what looked like sapphires spread about her skin like freckles, "Lizzy is five. Benny is four," he pointed to the boy that had come up earlier with lizard-like eyes. "And Lori," as he said this a girl with purple eyes and sharp rigid points comming from her elbows and wrists ran over to Kurt and clung to him, "is three," he finished with a laugh.
Lizzy, who had ran up to them earlier, looked up from Kurt's shoulder and smiled at Wanda.

"I'm Wanda," she smiled softly. "I'm a... friend of Kurt's." She felt a little guilty about outright lying to a child, but then their real relationship would possibly traumatize a child.

"Oh," the girl said, "Are you special like Cwawler?" Another rather blunt question from the child as she snuggled up against Kurt.
Kurt smiled slightly to the child snuggling in his arms. He was actually fairly thankful for Wanda's answer. Considering some of the children had the proposterous idea in there head that the Brotherhood was full of monsters.
