"I'm also decent with toast." He offers, watching her busy around.

She smiled, looking at him over her shoulder. "Great, you can be the toast-maker than." Grinning slightly, she started pulling plates out of the cupboard, holding one hand over the herb garden the smaller kids had been growing in the window. Misty rain clouded the paper cups that held the seedlings.

Logan grabbed a loaf of bread and started loading pieces into the toaster. He watched her from the corner of his eye as she watered the plants, remembering the small storm she'd made at the diner.

Ororo felt his eyes on her and turned to him, letting the small mist dissapate and pressing her hand to the counter to keep it from visibly shaking. "Remind me to never let you see me water the greenhouses," she noted quitely.

"They got waterin cans an sprinklers for that ya know." He said, glancing at her then back to the toaster as he pushed the handle down.

She shrugged slightly. "I don't mind... a little relapse is worth it some days," she walked to the fridge, grabbing a carton of eggs. "It's peaceful. And, besides, what's the fun of powers if you don't get to use them?"

Logan shrugged. His 'powers' weren't really all that fun, being that he only ever used them when he was injured.
The toast popped up and he growled, seeing it was burnt. He fiddled with the toaster and pushed down the handle after loading it up again. "Just...becareful." That sounded odd to him coming from his own mouth.

Ororo smiled slightly and moved closer to Logan, pressing her lips to his cheek. "You're getting soft," she teased. "And I am careful about it, usually... it's not like I'm doing the big things like ripping apart the eastern seaboard."

"Yeah, don't tell anyone." Logan said and smiled after her kiss. The smile turned into a snarl as the toast popped up, this time under done. He set it down again and adjusted the toaster.

She grinned slightly, peering at the toaster over his shoulder. "Don't gut the toaster," she teased gently. "We just got it... third new one this month."

"Piece a' junk." He growled but unclenched his hand that was starting into a fist. "What's it supposed to be set for?"

She reached around him and flicked the knob over a couple of notches. "Who knows what it's supposed to be set for anymore... I think Hank may have disembowled it to see if he could put it back together once..."

The toast popped up again and he set it onto a plate, not caring what it looked like anymore as he set more pieces down into the toaster. "Well then they can blame him for this."

She grinned slightly. "They're kids... they'll eat it to fast to notice if it's burnt or not. Especially after the slather it in so much peanut butter and jelly that they can't taste the toast." She moved over to the stove and started to scramble some eggs.

"Good." Logan grumped and set about toasting the rest of the bread.

Logan finished toasting the loaf of bread, muttering curses and growls the entire time. He presented the bread to her which was, despite his complaining, not half bad and looked around. "Anything else ya need me to do?"

Ororo shook her head slightly, looking over at him. "Not really. Unless you want to get out the cereal and set it on the table..."

Logan shrugged. "I can do that." He looked around and found the cereal and carried it to the table.

Ororo smiled slightly as she moved the eggs to a large pan to be set on the table. A few of the younger kids were starting to stumble in, the ones who'd been there long enough to wake up before the daily alarm clock destruction and hallway brawls over the bathroom, but still young enough to take baths at night to avoid the morning shower disaster.

Logan set out the cereal and eyed the kids who'd come in. "Alright, whatcha want?" He asked one.

The boy looked up at Hank with wide, glowing eyes, sticking a thumb in his mouth. "I want coca puffs..."
Ororo smiled slightly, busying herself as she watched Logan out of the corner of her eye.

"Alright, what are those?" He turned back to the cereal he'd just put out and started sorting through them. "Chocolate somethin or other right?"

The boy nodded, pointing at the box.
Ororo smiled slightly and started helping a few of the other early risers get their breakfasts.

Logan picked out the box and poured a bowl for the boy and handed it to him. "Here, milk's over there. Grab some toast too."
