Logan shook his head, "Been at this a long time, it never slows down."

"No, I suppose not," Ororo shrugged slightly. "I remember being younger, though, and thinking that life was too slow..." she shrugged again, looking down at her coffee cup. "Kenya was different, I guess."

"I think its the same no matter where your at when your young." He said softly. He can't speak from personal experience but he has seen what its like. "You see these kids, none of em' can wait to be an X-man, none of em' really know all what that entails."

Ororo nodded slightly. "I think some of them are learning, albeit slowly," she murmured. "But there are some things only age and experience bring..."

And loss...Logan thought. "Way it goes I guess."

"I figure there's got to be some things they're learning though," Ororo whispered, holding one of hand out over the table. A mini thunderstorm built in her palm, leaving a small puddle on the table. Her hand noticably began to shake. "After all, they can't watch someone's powers deteroaite their muscles all because of one villain and still think being an X-Man is all that great..."

Logan looked at her then down at the table. "I'm sorry Ororo..."

Ororo shook her head slightly, letting the storm dissapate. Reaching over, she touched her fingers to his hand. "There's nothing to be sorry for. It's not your fault and there's nothing to be pitied."

"I shouldn't a left, or been gone so long. Coulda helped out, given you a chance to recover at least." He said, shaking his head.

She arched an eyebrow at him. "I was foolish with my powers. I've always been foolish with my powers. That's why I haven't recovered."

Ororo shook her head slightly. "It takes a lot less self-restraint to not fry a bunch of twelve-year-olds than a bunch of adults."

Logan shrugged and turned his head away to look out the window. The guilt was there no matter what she said.

Ororo leaned over the table and gently pressed her lips to Logan's cheek. "Forget about it," she murmured. "It's more than enough to be here with you and not worrying about it."

He closed his eyes a moment then pulled away. He pushed a cup away from him towards the middle of the table to show the waitress he was done with it.
"We should get back. Won't be too long for the kids start gettin up an all."

She nodded slightly, sitting back and waiting for the bill. "I suppose it would be unfair to let the others deal with them all alone."

"Yeah." He pulled out his wallet and handed over a bill when the waitress came over, indictating her to keep what was left.
Then he stood and waited for her.

She nodded slightly and stood, starting out the door while making sure she wasn't too far ahead of him.

He followed a couple paces behind, angry for withdrawing into himself again but not showing any sign outwardly.
He reached the bike and stopped, seeming to be about to stay something then got on silently and started the engine.

Ororo sighed slightly, trying to figure out how to deal with... whatever this was. Frowning slightly, she slipped on to the seat behind Logan, wrapping her arms around his waist.

He rolled the motorcycle out and started them back towards the mansion.

Ororo tightened her arms around him slightly as the motorcycle began to move. Not out of fear, just to hold him.

And despite all his reserve and the reaction he had back in the diner Logan began to relax again.
He was still withdrawn and silent though when he steered the bike back into the garage. He parked the bike and waited for her to get off. Looking for a moment like he might not.

Reluctantly, Ororo pulled away from Logan, standing in the garage and wondering what she was supposed to do next.

Logan finally got down fromt the bike and looked from the door leading inside to the one that would go back out to the lawn. "You gonna head back out there or comin in?"
