"Yes, but people also tell me I have way too much energy and should try and put it somewhere." His punch blocked he tried for a low jab at her midsection. "They usually tell me somewhere not very polite and that sounds quite painful but, well you know."

She shrugged slightly, moving a little to the blow grazed off her side. "I'm sure they do. Not that I tell people to go to hell... but, then, I value my sanity much too much to spend eternity with the people I know."

"Aww, sanity is no fun. Crazy's what get you the most kicks." He grins and then springs back from her after the hit. From there he performs a series of moves that seem to be just him jumping around and making wild hand gestures.

"Where I'm from, crazy just gets you shot. Especially people like me who have enemies." She just watched him, waiting for him to tire himself out. The stragety had worked very well in the past: tire the opponut and then lash out for the killing blow.

Such strategy doesn't really work though when used against someone who seems to have boundless energy. Of course, there's always boredom which sets in pretty quickly.
Peter stopped his jumping and stood staring at Natasha. "Um...Ha!" And with that he stepped in and threw a punch at her, leaning perhaps a bit too far into it.

Natasha took the blow, still counting on the fact that the removal of her pain sensors had only been somewhat dulled with age. In one deft movement, she caught him by the wrist, pushed him to turn him around, and pulled his arm up behind him.

"Hey, aggh!" The move surprised him and he was stuck a moment. Wriggling around he tried to break her hold, "I must warn you...I am like...houdini..."

"And I feel I must warn you... I've done this since before you were born," Natasha grinned slightly, catching his other arm and pullint it back. Sturggling she to keep hold of both wrists in one fist, she snaked her arm around his chest.

Peter struggled some more and then planted his feet against the wall and started walking up it. It was a good idea until he got high enough that Natasha's hold on him became painful in the position he had taken up and he found himself stuck.
"Ow...okay...um...ow ow ow, I think I'm stuck."

Natasha loosened her hold slightly, backing up so that Peter couldn't walk up the wall anymore. After all, she wasn't trying to hurt the boy, just practice on him and maybe teach him a lesson or two.

Peter wriggled around some more, tried a few different angles and then finally stopped moving. "You know, if you were a bad guy or something I'd have at least a hundred different ways of getting out of this. But, being the gentleman I am and everything I guess I can let you have this win."

Natasha smirked slightly, pulling Peter up closer to her. "You're going to let me win?" she asked softly, lips close to his ear. "Nobody lets me win, I'm just that good. I think you just don't know how to get out of my hold..."

Peter ducked his head slightly and was glad he had the mask on as his face was flushing. "Of course I'm letting you win. I have the proportionate strength of a spider and all sorts of cool super powers, how could I possibly not have a way out of a simple hold like this?"

Natasha smirked slightly, moving her arm from Peter's chest and grabbing a small knife from the waistband of her sweatpants. "So... why are you letting me win?" she asked curiously, twirling the knife between her fingers. "Because you think I'm weaker? Because I'm your teammate? Because I'm a girl? Or because I'm way too old for this job?"

And this was one of the very rare occasions when Peter was speechless. He fumbled for an answer watching the knife. "Um...I...uh...heh, its not like that at all. Really. I just...didn't I miss giving you a Christmas present?"

She snorted, loosening her hold on his wrists ever so slightly. "That is distinctly possible... but, I hardly ever keep track of presents and their givers."

He let out a breath and nodded quickly, "Oh yeah! I did. I keep track of all that stuff. Today was day to give Natasha birthday present. I have a list, but really you don't want to see it."

She smirked, letting the blade come to a halt and just balance on the tip of her middle finger. "Birthday present?" she asked incrediously. "So this is all about the fact that I'm getting older by the second, and really too old to do this job."

He jumped in her grasp, "Christmas! I meant Christmas! Ho ho ho, tis the season, sparkly trees and tiny tots wrapped in bows."

Natasha just barely managed to keep from bursting out laughing. After all, laughing would completely ruin whatever it was that scared Peter about her. And that would be absolutely no fun at all.
Pocketing the knife again, she let him go completely. "If you get caught like that again, it's best to step on the instep or kick the kneecap. At the very least, you can laugh while your captor is jumping up and down on foot."

He took a few steps back and wrung his wrists a little. "And see, I was going to do that too. But, I owed you Christmas and all. Next time."
He pulled off his mask and tried to fan his face off with it a little. "So, training done right? Time to hit the showers?"

Natasha shrugged slightly. "If you want it to be done. Personally, I was hellbent on finding a robot and kicking the crap out of it and pretending it was Tony. It's the least he deserves for designing this stupid room."

"Ooo, robot destruction? I think I can hang around for that." Peter grinned. "I was planning to super glue him to the seat of the quinjet next time he takes it out, but robot pulverizing could be fun too."

Natasha shrugged again. "Well... it's not as good as beating him up... but it does save on lectures."

"Yeah, especially if its one from Cap." he shook his head, "I don't know how I stay awake sometimes."
