Rogue sighed softly, resting her forehead against Remy's shoulder. "I suppose not," she murmured and started to reluctantly pull back from him. "I'll probably get in some sort of trouble over it if I do..." Mentally, she berated herself about getting her priorities straight. After all, she could spend all the time she wanted with him after she dropped off the groceries.

"Damn prioraties," Remy said with a small laugh as he grabbed a few more pieces of fruit.

Rogue laughed softly and examined her grocery list. There wasn't much left on it other than some junk food that she was fairly certain Scott and Ororo hadn't put on the list when they were making it up.

"Remy inspected Rogue's list. "Really... triple fudge icecream is on de list? I t'ought y'all were super'eroes."

Rogue shrugged slightly, looking over at Remy. "Well, how do you think we keep our energy up? I'm telling you, massive amounts of sugar is the key."

"Yeah? And what would he do with that information?" Rogue arched an eyebrow, grinning. "I think if he cut off the sugar supply, Kurt or somebody might just go insane and kill him..."

Rogue laughed. "I'm sure he'd love that information. He'd still loose, but at least he'll know everything when he does."

Remy shrugged. "Didn' say 'e'd win... jus' sayin' 'e'd pay good cash fo' it." He laughed as he pushed his cart back and forth lightly with a smirk.

Rogue laughed slightly. "Maybe I should offer it up to him, I could always use a little bit of extra cash," she teased. "And if he's going to loose anyway..."

"Damsel in distress?" Rogue snorted, kissing Remy's cheek lightly before turning back to her cart. "When was the last time I was in distress that I couldn't get myself out of?" she paused slightly, curling her gloved fingers around the handlebar of the car. "Of course, it might be worth it just to see you play the part of the hero..."

"I'don'know when it was alrigh'?" Remy said with a sigh. "I knew y' wouldn' mind me playin' 'ero... but I'd prefer c'nflicted 'ero... make me soun' cooler."

Rogue nodded slightly. "Conflicted hero does sound cooler," she agreed, arching an eyebrow at Remy. He sounded almost sad to her, but that had to be her imagination.

"Oui... as y'all know... I'm pretty coo'," Remy said with a wink. He hoenstly felt horrible about a few things. Their fight, her cutting herself, her being in the X-men, her powers. There was an odd feeling to protect her but Rogue would either not let him or Remy just wasn't there to do it. But he pushed that odd emotion back as a smile cracked across his face.

Rogue grinned slightly, looking down at her grocery list again. "I think I'm done... they can go one night without all the sugar." Honestly, she just wanted to get out of the grocery store so they could talk in private.

"Hopefully den no baddies come by an' try t'take 'em on," Remy teased with a smirk as he went through his mental checklist. He had everything... maybe... sort of... he didn't really have any idea what he needed until he actually went to the store. "Well den, shall we get t' checkin' out?"

Rogue laughed, nodding slightly. "I think it's about time to check out," she agreed, starting towards the front of the store.

Remy smiled as he followed, looking for a cashier that could check fast. The sooner they got out of there, the sooner they could talk... and not have to worry about people watching them.

Rogue got into line at the only check-out that didn't have half a dozen people standing in line, carefully setting the tons of groceries on the counter so that the cashier could scan them.

Remy smiled as he watched Rogue go into one of the lines to unload half the store onto the counter. He found himself in one of the shorter lines, not paying attention to the "fifteen or fewer" sign that hung above. He started unloading his grogeries, ignoring the glares from other shoppers and the cashier.

Rogue grinned slightly when she looked over at Remy, completley ignoring the grumbles of the few people who had been stupid enough to get in line behind her.

Remy looked over at Rogue, his eyes meeting hers for a moment before he started to hear the beeping of the cashier scanning his items. Remy finally noticed the sign. He offered a semi-apologetic smile. "Sorry homme," he half-apologized. He was half tempted to point the people behind him and say all the more reason to hurry, but refrained.

Rogue shifted from foot to foot, watching the cashier ring up her items. Somewhat bored, she searched her pocket for the Institute's credit card, still looking over at Remy.
