"Welcome to life in the infirmary," Rogue shrugged, fiddling with the corner of the blanket.

Jean shrugged, "I learned at a young age not to be in here...remember I have two years longer than you...that means it was Storm and Xavier treating us...not a real doctor."

Rogue shrugged. "I was here a while before Hank was," she pointed out. "And appearentlyy I have a fetish for staying in the infirmary."

Jean shrugged, "Well things weren't as bad...you should see all the scars Scott has...I was smart enough to erect TK shields...unfortunately I couldn't protect him half the time..."

Rogue shrugged slightly. "Trust me, I have worse scars."

Jean shrugged, "I dunno who has worse...he's been hit by some pretty bad things...like buzz saws." Jean and Scott would always take those out first before the other's could get hit.

"Flamethrowers, razors, Sentinel parts, bone spikes, icicles, playing cards, lazors..." Rogue shrugged slightly. "And anything else that Evan and Bobby missed before Piotr became my Danger Room partner..."

Jean nodded, "I never understood why they didn't partner you and Kitty together since your like best friends and you were room mates. Kurt could handle himself since Evan was never there."

"Senority," Rogue shrugged slightly. "You and Scott were there first, thus you were partners... and then it was Kitty and Kurt. And then me and Evan, who was replaced by Bobby, who was replaced by Piotr..."

Jean laughed, "Bobby and Amara are needed with the younger students. They are the only two that are really mature enough to run the team...which is really sad now that I think about it..."

Rogue laughed slightly. "The team needs them or they need the team?" she asked. "Because, honestly, Sam is the only mature one out of the bunch."

Jean laughed, "Sam's too shy that why Amara and Bobby are needed. Amara keeps Bobby in line and Bobby has the charisma to run the team...you should see Amara take command sometimes. It's amazing." Jean has seen Amara just throw Bobby out of the way and start barking out commands like an army officer.

"Sam isn't that shy when taking control... I think helping rase ten siblings did something to him," Rogue shrugged slightly. "Besides, none of them really listen to the orders, but more of the idea of what they're supposed to do that they follow..."

Jean shrugged, "I guess thats the main reason they only get the smaller missions...they've only been doing this a year less than we have..."

Rogue shrugged as well, fidgeting with the blankets. "They do pretty good, don't they?" she asked. "I mean, sure they only follow ideas... but they were trained by Hank and Logan for the most part. It wasn't like they had Ororo's 'follow the plan' lectures."

Jean laughed, "Funnily enough they listen to her more...but Rahne and Jamie were so young they needed a mother figure while they were here I think thats why Ororo was less a part of their team and more of a support system for them."

Rogue nodded slightly. "I guess... I mean, when we were here there weren't enough that Xavier couldn't play the parental figure/support system part. So we really didn't need Ororo for that," she shrugged. "She just balanced Logan out with training stuff."

Jean nodded, "I don't think they really need to be like us. We're almost too good now."

Rogue arched an eyebrow. "We're hardly that good... besides, any team that comes now will always want to be better than us, 'cause otherwise they're in the shadow."

"Well, that's because we weren't supposed to work... I mean, if we'd just met each other on the street, we would have hated each other." Rogue shrugged slightly. "I think we worked just to spite sterotypes."

Jean shrugged, "We were all the friends we really had...none of us had our childhood friends with us so were naturally came together. It does help most people at that school have even bigger sticks up their asses than Scott ever did."

Rogue arched an eyebrow. "You were the most popular girl in school... you had friends outside of the Institute. And everyone else had a handful of friends," she pointed out. "I had... Risty, who turned out to be Mystique, and you guys..."

Jean laughed, "You really thought those girls were my friends? Did you see how quickly they dropped me when they found out I was a mutant and unwilling to help them cheat on tests?" the memory still stung but it didn't matter, "They weren't real friends."

Rogue made a face. "The only person who ever said two words to me at that school was Paul, and Scott made him, anyway. I mean, real friends or not, it's nice to have someone to talk to who doesn't live here."
