She laughed, standing and starting to clear the table. "Well, I think they're getting tired anyway," she grinned slightly at him. "Of course, who can really tell with kids?"

He got up and helped her, listening to the kids racing around the living room. "Well, I'm hoping they tire themselves out soon." He gave her a quick peck on the cheek.

She smiled slightly, looking over at him as she rinsed off the dishes. "They're very good at tiring themselves," she answered softly. "Either that, or I could give them to Pietro to watch."

"Well, I guess he still can think of himself first, you know?" Wanda shrugged slightly as she finished rinsing the plates.

He finished washing the dishes just as Sharon wandered into the kitchen, looking groggy. She opened up the fridge. "Do we have any soda?" she asked. "I don't know." She pulled out a can of Coke with Mortimer's name scribbled across it. "I'll buy him another one," she said, popping the can open and taking a long drink.

Wanda rolled her eyes at Sharon, leaning back against the counter. Looking over at St. John, she wrapped her arms around herself and said nothing.

"And I don't have fleas, lice, or ticks," she said bitterly. "The transformation I undergo when I morph from feline to human and vice versa kills them." She pointed to the vent in the ceiling. "Never gossip in the kitchen, the whole house can hear you."

She finished the can of soda. "Just putting it out there," she said. She shrugged before crushing the can in her hand and tossing it into the garbage can. Her stomach knotted up suddenly, and she cursed under her breath. It was that rabbit you ate yesterday. You shouldn't have eaten it, it was sick or something and now you've got a stomach bug. She wandered into the living room and curled up on the couch. She turned on the TV to Animal Planet.
"If only I'd known she was listening," said St. John. "I wouldn't have been so polite."

Wanda frowned, shrugging slightly. "She's an annoying little pest who will hopefully be crushed some time soon. Or, who knows, Magneto will decide he's sick of her and toss her out just to prove he really does still control the Brotherhood."

The twins stopped running around once the TV lit up. They climbed onto the couch next to Sharon. "Is this tha aminal show?" asked Michael. "Yeah," said Sharon. She had heard everything that Wanda was saying, but felt too crappy to really do something about it. That and Most Extreme was on.
St. John glanced up at the clock on the wall. It was almost 8pm. "Maybe we should put them to bed," he said.

Wanda laughed slightly, shifting her hold on the twins. "You don't really get a choice," she teased slightly. "You are going to go to bed, and that's that."
