"I just hate you in general," she made a movement with her hand, sending several dozen plates hurtling at Sharon. "You walk around her like there's something about you that makes you better than the rest of us, and it sickens me."

Sharon winced as a plate hit the side of her head. "I'm not better than anyone else here," she said, "I'm just honest. I'm not the one who lies everytime she tells her kids she loves them. I'm not the one who led Toad on and got upset when he got fresh." Mortimer looked at Sharon. To a certain extent, she was right. But only to a certain extent.

Wanda rolled her eyes. "I suppose you think you've got me figured out. Maybe you think you know what makes me tick..." she smirked and let all the hexes die suddently. "I've got news for you, you don't know the first thing about me."

Sharon landed on her feet. "Maybe I haven't got you all figured out," she said, "but I know more than you think I do. I saw everything that happened last night, and I could if I wanted."

She glowered. "Yes, well you don't know the first thing about me. Even if you saw what happened last night."

"All right then," said Sharon, "who should I tell first?" She sat down on the kitchen counter. "How do you think daddy dearest will react when I tell him about last night? 'Well she went inside with Pyro, and Toad began to cry again...' " She leaned forward, "or I could tell him that Toad might be the father of your children. After all, he is awfully affectionate towards them, and you as well. He'd make sure Toad lived long enough to see his own autopsy." Mortimer stared at her. "You can't do that," he said. "Sure I can."

"Ooo... you're going to tell my father. I'm so scared," Wanda mocked. "We all know the man doesn't give a damn what I do. As long as all his grandchildren end up mutants. Of course, if you want to bother him... you seem like the kind of girl who likes taking risks with her life."

"You may not have standards, but your dad does. If he thinks you slept with Toad here and let him knock you up, it won't matter if your kids are mutants or not." "Sharon, that's not true, he wouldn't kill me." "Yes he would, dear, and it would be very, very painful." Mortimer felt his stomach churn.

"Magneto doesn't care who I sleep with, as he's proved several times," Wanda rolled her eyes. "Nor does he care who knocks me up. Otherwise he would have had a fit when I told him I don't know and have no interest in finding out. And his fits tend to be on the side where I get end up in the hospital."

Sharon only shrugged. "Not like it would matter if he killed Toad," she said, "after all, you don't like him one bit, do you?"

Wanda rolled her eyes and sat down in one of the kitchen chairs. "Go ahead and tell Magneto whatever lie it is you've concoted about me. It saves me the trouble of killing you myself."

"You didn't answer my question," she said. "If you saw what happened last night, then she doesn't fucking have to," said Mortimer, getting up and stalking out of the room.

Wanda stood, stalking over to Sharon and grabbing by the neck. "I swear to God, if you tell Magneto any of your lies and I'll rip your heart out through your throat."

"You may frighten everyone else in this house, but you don't frighten me," said Sharon. She jerked free of Wanda's grip. "Have fun at the park."

Wanda sighed and all but fell into one of the kitchen chairs, burying her face in her arms on the table top. She didn't even look up when the twins came in minutes later, crawling into her lap.

Sharon turned and left the room, walking outside. She morphed into her panther form as she passed Mortimer, who was sitting on the porch, smoking a cigarette. She darted off into the woods, carefully picking her way across the driveway. Mortimer had heard most of Sharon's argument with Wanda, even though he hadn't wanted to.

Wanda wrapped her good arm around both of the twins, cradeling her head in the crook of her elbow just above the cast. "It'll be fine," she murmured to herself as the boys hugged her around her neck.

He watched Sharon fading into the woods, hoping she'd get between a mother bear and her cub.

"Shoes, right?" Wanda asked after a while, carefully moving the twins so they sat on the table. She picked up the sneakers they had left next to her chair and carefully started getting them ready to go to the park.

Wanda would care if Magneto disemboweled me, right? She'd care...no she wouldn't. She'd probably be grateful. Hell, no one would care... He took another drag of his cigarette.

Wanda carefully helped the boys get their coats on as well, standing and helping them off the table.

He finished his cigarette and stood up. He walked over to the driveway and started picking up the broken glass. One of the pieces was covered with blood, no doubt Sharon's.

She lead the boys towards the front door, both of them clutching her good hand. Stopping by the front door, she pulled her jacket and boots on before ushering the boys down the street towards the park.
